The REGIS
Agency Announces the Resignation of Director Phil Lund
GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN -- REGIS
(Regional Geographic Information System), an agency of the Grand Valley
Metropolitan Council, announces the resignation of REGIS Director, Phil
Lund, effective July 8, 2002. Lund is leaving the agency to pursue other
interests. Lund has been at the helm of the REGIS agency since its
inception in 1998, and guided it from its initial concept to a fully
functional reality. REGIS now stands as one of the largest local
government multi-participant GIS projects ever, encompassing twenty
cities, townships, and quasi-governmental organizations.
"Phil has done an excellent job," says GVMC
Executive Director Jerry Felix. "He has brought the REGIS Agency farther
than we had ever anticipated. We wish him well and expect he will have
great success in his future endeavors."
Lund will remain as acting Director until July 8. No decision has been
made yet as to a replacement.
